Deconstruction
In order for this project to start off, us (students) have to attend and exhibition that is currently taking place and to break down the way it is presented to the everyone. In order to do so I have to analyze aspects of the exhibition such as signage, display construction, lighting, visitor flow, attendant publicity and how information is brought forward. It is also expected that we should also redesign one aspect of their information publication.
Week 1
What I have done so far in this project is gone to a couple of museums such as The Natural History Museum and the V&A museum, to get a real look at how the structure of such buildings is built and examine the visitor flow. I took pictures of aspects within the buildings to show how similar as well as different these historic buildings are managed in relation to the public.
Public Information presenting different options according to theme and color.

Week 1

I took pictures of the building exterior itself as well the interior and the visitor flow and signage.
The entrance of the NHM. Once you pass the security check you will be able to view the interior of and everything in it. (Below)
Once again I took pictures of both interior and exterior of the building. Focusing on signage, public information and lighting.
The entrance is displayed on the left image. The image on the right shows the area after security check. The desk in the middle allows people to walk on either side.
The images show similar signage within the site however, the difference is it shows the variety of how the design could be displayed in different positions.
Public Information presenting different options according to theme and color.
Week 2
I had gone to another journey to a museum however, this time I had attended an exhibition that was taking place within the site. I visited the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth Road, South East London. The museum was interesting especially for those who are into war craft and the famous World War saga because on show were vehicles used during that time. The exhibition was called The Ministry of food that displayed what civilians had to eat back then and how they rationed to save money.
Above shows the the exterior of the museum and the poster on the right shows an attendance publicity of another exhibition about to take place.
This image shows one of many public information around the exhibition. Really big, capital lock and placed on the wall above so it is easy to see. The color is slightly darker than the wall so it blends in but enough to be clear.
The image on the left shows an indication of the spacing within the exhibition. Each room that you enter is slightly small but enough for a crowd of people to walk about. The left image shows the lighting used for the exhibition. Different angles of lighting are placed to give enough light for each area of work.
